We are in the midst of confusing and difficult times. The coronavirus is a global pandemic affecting our health care systems, our economies, and our daily lives. And we are not immune to those changes here in El Paso.
Because there is no vaccine to prevent catching coronavirus, the El Paso government recommends frequently and thoroughly washing your hands for 20 seconds and avoiding touching your face. Additionally, El Paso has declared a Stay Home, Work Safe order that went into effect on March 24, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. The order requires all persons to stay home except for “essential” reasons.
The State of Texas Office of Court Administration (OCA) has said, “Legal services are essential to the justice system, which is itself essential to the people. The need for legal services only increases in a disaster like the current COVID-19 pandemic.”
At Harmonson Law Firm, we wholeheartedly agree.
That’s why we are still open. We are only doing essential services in person, like notarizing documents, finalizing settlements etc. Our website now has a link where you can schedule a Zoom video conference with me automatically. We have signed up several new clients this way already.
We also have the capability to get documents signed electronically. We have also gone on numerous outings to get documents signed, etc. to help our clients in these tough times. Call us if you have any questions about your case, your treatment, etc. Our goal is to do as much of the business of law outside of our office as possible while staying fully operational during this time. To our clients, we suggest keeping your medical appointments during this time. Practice social distancing and make sure to minimize your risk before, during and after your appointments by practicing good hygiene. Our hands are raw from washing them so many times. We absolutely hate going out right now, but do so for essentials – and we think medical care is one of those essentials. With that said, you good people are adults and capable of making your own decisions about whether to seek treatment right now.
God bless all of you and your families as we navigate these difficult times. We are only a phone call away. (915) 233-6427
